Since the entrance to law schools in India is getting more and more competitive every year, the Law School Admission Test is playing a vital role in deciding the luck of the candidates willing to join law schools.

Examination Pattern of LSAT

The law admission test comprises five 35 minutes sections. These sections have objective type questions. Here it must be noted that out of five, only four section will contribute in your total marks obtained.

These sections are reading comprehension, analytical reasoning and two other sections comprising logical reasoning. The fifth section of the test includes new test items.  The score of one of these sections won’t be included in your total scoring. However, you never know which that test section is! In the last, there is a 30 minute writing sample test.

Union Public Service Commission Entrance Exam (UPSC)

UPS or ‘Union Public Service Commission’ test came into existence under the article 315 of Indian constitution. National Defence Academy Entrance Exam (NDA)

• You must have cleared 10+2 level from a recognized school or board.  Those appearing for 10+2 exam can also apply. 
• To get admission into Navy and Air force wings, you must have Physics and Mathematics in 10+2 level. 
• Your age must be more than 16 and ½ but less than 19 years at the time of appearing for the test. 
• Only unmarried candidates can apply for the exam. 
• You must be medically and physically fit as per the requirements specified in the application form.

Examination Pattern of NDA Entrance Exam

• The written exam will constitute two sections - Mathematics and General Ability Test and each section is given the time limit of two and a half hours. 
• All the questions will be objective type. Both the sections of the test will be set bilingually in National language Hindi and other language English.
• You may have to attempt questions related to the metric system of Weights and Measures. These questions are included wherever necessary in the test. 
• You must write the answers in your own hand writing. Under no circumstances anyone else is allowed to write on anyone’s behalf. 
• You will not be allowed to use calculator or any Mathematic table while attempting objective type papers.

Selection Procedure

 Admission to next level of the test is made on the basis of results of the written exam. After clearing written exam, you will need to appear for intelligence and personality test. This test is conducted by the Services Selection Board of Candidates. Here all the candidates are put at stage one and only those who clear this test will be allowed to appear in remaining tests.

After passing stage two, you will be required to submit your original certificates along with one photocopy of each.  These certificates are:

• Original Matriculation Pass Certificate (it is required as a prove of date of birth)

IPS Exam

  • To get a good command over General Science, it is must that you prepare at least eight subjects of high importance properly. These subjects include Mental Ability, Economy, Political Science, Science, Current Affairs, Geography, History and General Knowledge. 
  • The best way to begin your preparation in above mentioned subjects is to start with NCERT books of 6th to 12th standard. 
  • To keep updated with ‘current affairs’ you will require reading newspapers from at least one year back from the time of appearing for exam. Make notes of all the important events, incidents in the country as well as around the world.

  • Do prepare for both ‘Preliminary’ and ‘Main’ exam very well, as you will not have much time to prepare for ‘Main’ exam after clearing prelims successfully. 
  • To prepare for optional subject, get the civil service exam syllabus. Cover all the topics and attempting all the related question papers simultaneously.
