Journalism In India
Journalism is the knack to present an event or happening to larger audience. Journalism is broadly separated in two categories i.e. a) Print Journalism and b) Electronic Journalism. Print journalism consists of newspapers and magazines and electronic journalism consists of television, internet etc. Journalism is the most knowledgeable and prestigious job.
The eligibility to enroll for journalism course is 10+2 in any stream. There a number of institutes available providing degree as well as short term courses. Although these courses does not require special coaching but it does make one familiar with the tools as well as provide on the job training which boosts student’s morale and grant a foothold for future career.
Journalism is one profession which entails responsibility towards whole society. Every student who aspires for journalism should have good communication skills, confidence to face difficult situations, intelligent, attentive, concern for the current affairs, impressive appearance, and good memory and last but not the least strong will power.
A student can apply for jobs in print media like newspapers, magazines, journals etc. One can also do freelancing for various newspapers and magazines. With electronic media a student can be absorbed as reporter, proofreader, columnist etc.
